Murata and REACH RegulationREACH is a new European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. The REACH Regulation became effective in Europe on July 1st, 2007 and the preparation for this regulation has advanced inside and outside the European Union. Murata has also prepared to comply with the REACH Regulation. RegistrationThe REACH Regulation has different requirements for "Chemicals and Preparations"and "Articles". All of the products promoted by this website are articles that do not intentionally discharge any substances and are therefore exempted from obligation of registration of substances [Article 7(1)b]. Substances of Very High Concern (candidate list for eventual inclusion into Annex XIV)Murata will inform the content of SVHC substances specified by "The candidate list referred to in Article 59(1) of REACH regulation" published by ECHA. The submission of certificates, survey reports based on other lists than published by the ECHA might cause confusion in the supply chain. Therefore, Murata will refrain from issuing the forecast list and preparing the relevant reports to the public.
