Murata launches miniature common mode choke for MIPI interfaces in 0202 package

Murata today announced the DLP0QSN series of common mode choke coils aimed at new cellular smart phones and tablet PC applications that employ the internal MIPI serial data interface in additional to traditional high speed differential transmission standards such as USB 2.0, MHL and HDMI. Believed to be the smallest device of its kind available in the market today, the DLP0QSN 0202 package measures just 0.65 x 0.5 x 0.3 mm and meets the product design requirements to increasingly reduce the size of components within a cellular phone. Noise suppression filters are used as an EMC solution for the interconnecting high speed data lines of the many diverse modules such as camera, high speed front end and the display interface. Engineering samples are available now prior to mass production commencing in October 2011. Editor note: The MIPI interface is promoted by the MIPI Alliance. The Alliance is a global, collaborative organization comprised of companies that span the mobile ecosystem and are committed to defining and promoting interface specifications for mobile devices.
